Anna Dixon joined campaigners and fellow MPs this week to call for a thorough review of who owns and regulates Britain’s water.
The Shipley MP joined the campaign at an event hosted by the Ilkley Clean River Group at the Houses of Parliament.
Ms Dixon met with the leaders of the anti-sewage dumping group, including musician and campaigner Feargal Sharkey, to discuss the severity of the issue and how the West Yorkshire politician can help solve it.

Anna Dixon MP said: “The last government allowed raw sewage to be dumped into rivers in Shipley constituency 1753 times in 2023.
“That is unacceptable.
“Ending sewage dumping in the River Aire and River Wharfe is one of my top priorities.
“I’m proud to join others in calling for a root-and-branch review into who owns and regulates our water.”
