Revitalise our high streets

High streets are the lifeblood of communities up and down the country, and here in Shipley constituency, it is no different. Over the last 14 years, however, the Conservatives have allowed them to fall into disrepair. 

From Bingley and Cottingley to Baildon and Menston, I have heard countless stories from residents about witnessing the decline of their local high street or village centre in recent years.  As MP, I will work hard to revitalise these essential community assets and create good jobs for local people. ​
